These terms govern your use of synapsiscoffee.com. Using the site means accepting them. They are written to be read, not to hide anything.
Use of the site
Read the guides, run the calculators, brew from them, print them for yourself. What you may not do is scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other people, republish its content as your own, or attempt to break its security.
Accuracy, and its limits
Every guide here is tested, and testing is still not a guarantee. Your water, your grinder burrs, the age of your beans, and your altitude all move the result, and no published range can account for all of them. The content is provided as is, without warranty, and you use it at your own discretion. If a number does not reproduce on your setup, that is worth telling me about rather than a promise I have broken.
Not medical advice
The caffeine and cognition content describes what published research reports about populations. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose, and it is not a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. Caffeine sensitivity varies enormously between people, and a guide cannot know where you sit.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Synapsis Coffee is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including from equipment you buy on a recommendation or results you fail to reproduce. Hot water, pressurized machines, and sharp burrs deserve your care, and that care is yours to exercise.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs, and calculators on this site belong to Synapsis Coffee. You may quote a passage with attribution and a link. You may not copy a guide wholesale, republish it, or feed the site into a product that reproduces its content.

Guides link to research, retailers, and manufacturers. Those sites are not under my control, and linking to one is not an endorsement of everything on it. Some retailer links are affiliate links, which is set out in the affiliate disclosure.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
Changes
These terms may be updated, and the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
