Synapsis Coffee is funded by two things: affiliate commissions and display advertising. You should know how both work before you trust a recommendation, so here it is plainly.

Some links to coffee equipment are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer pays this site a commission, and the price you pay is exactly the same as it would have been otherwise. You are never charged extra for arriving through a link here.
Why a commission does not buy a verdict
The commission is the same whether a grinder gets praised or criticized, which is precisely why it cannot bend a review. Equipment is tested and then written up, in that order. Guides regularly recommend the cheaper option, and they regularly tell you to keep the gear you already own, neither of which is a good way to maximize commissions. No brand pays for a review, a rating, or a placement on this site, and none ever will. That rule is written into the editorial guidelines.

This site also shows ads served by Google and its partners. Those ads are chosen by the ad network, not by me, and their presence has no bearing on what a guide says. The cookies involved are described in the cookie policy.
