Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on Synapsiscoffee earn us a commission. This page explains when, and what it does and does not change.

In practice

If you buy something after following one of those links, the retailer pays us a small share. You pay the same price either way.

What a recommendation rests on

What informs a recommendation is public and checkable: spec sheets, official documentation, published standards, and aggregated owner experience. If a piece of writing rests on personal use, it says so; silence on that point means it does not.

Spotting them

Affiliate links are not hidden. Where a link earns us something, the page says so nearby, and this disclosure is linked from the footer of every page on the site.

Price and stock

We cannot promise a price or that something is still sold. Both belong to the retailer and both move. Take any number in an article as a snapshot, not a quotation.

Why we must say this

This disclosure exists because United States law requires it. The Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guides oblige a publisher to reveal a material connection to a product it recommends, clearly and close to the recommendation. That is the standard this page is written to meet.

Independence

The choice of what to recommend happens before any question of commission. No brand has editorial input on a coffee brewing page, and none is shown a draft.

Ad slots

The other source of income is display advertising via Google AdSense. An ad appearing next to an article means nothing about the article.

Asking us

Use the contact page to ask whether a given link earns us anything, or to tell us a recommendation has aged badly.
